Chemical Reactor chiller hire for a major chemical production company in Huddersfield.
Syngenta approached ACR for a solution to their cooling needs at their KIP production facility. Critically, a fast turn around on this project was required to maintain their production performance, and more importantly, their safety. Potential thermal run-away in their process required a reliable solution to manage this risk.
This situation arose because of evaporator failure on the fixed chillers leading to a shut down to prevent moisture ingress. The problem had occurred in the recent past raising serious concerns around unit durability. Clearly, this client needed a reliable option to maintain production and safety.
Carefully considering the site conditions, Climate Rentals specified a Carrier 30GX chiller with a tough flooded evaporator. Straight through exchange tubing and wide usable water flow rate up to a maximum of 45 lt per second, would ensure reliability of this chemical reactor chiller hire installation.
In addition, quick and reliable connection to the clients water system was made in 4″ rubber suction and discharge hosing was supplied.
In another significant advantage to the client, the chiller was supplied on a flexible long term contract with full service and call-out response to ensure reliability.
Proving to be reliable, this rental chiller has now been installed for 3 years. Because of its reliability and the well controlled cooling delivery, the chiller has had a positive effect on production volumes and efficiency.
Significantly, the plant now operates reliably at full production, proving this solution to be very cost effective.
